MODEL DM 5th Wheel slider difference between DM8550034 AND DM8550024. Mounting unit on 2002 F250 short box with firestone suspension. Can either of these units be used on the truck.

For your 2002 Ford F-250 short bed there is a Firestone suspension kit that is compatible with an in-bed hitch like the Demco hitches you mentioned. You'd have to have the part # F2550 installed on your truck.
With that installed you'd be able to use the Demco hitch part # DM8550034 that you referenced once you installed the rail kit part # RP56005-53 which is a custom install kit that will minimize drilling and install time.
