Question:

I just saw a video on your site - can you put 3 bikes on a trailer-mount hitch for a prius? Additionally, would you recommend the Kuat Sherpa Aluminum Platform-Style Hitch Mounted Two Bike Rack, for a Prius?

Great question. Technically you can put a 3 bike rack on your Prius, but you are limited to two bikes because of the hitch itself being only able to carry 2 bikes being a Class I hitch. We have videos like this to show that if you have multiple vehicles, you can use the bike rack on your Prius as well, but in the description we give the note that you are limited to 2 bikes for your Class I trailer hitch receiver.

Either one of these color choices will give you a great bike rack with all of the locking features as well as an excellent wheel mounted bike carrier. I absolutely recommend this carrier for your application. It will allow you to have the tilting function for cargo access while loaded and the folding function when unloaded for a clean look.

Without knowing your specific hitch, I do want to make sure you have the measurements from your hitch pin hole on the receiver to certain parts of the carrier to allow you to measure for precise fit and compatibility. The distance from center of hitch pin hole to:
Closest part of carrier when folded down: 11"
Closest part of carrier when folded up: 7-1/2"
Farthest edge of carrier when folded down: 34-3/8"
