Question:

I ordered the TTORTUN4L Timbren bump stop for my 2017 Toyota Tacoma Sport when the item listed it as a confirmed fit for a 2017 Toyota Tacoma. I installed them and found there was no gap between the bump stop and the frame as there was on my 2016 Tacoma. Looking into this I see your site has several listings about whether the Tacoma has three leaf springs or four leaf springs, mine has four leaf springs. Your site says the TTORTUN4L that I have does not fit the four leaf Tacoma. It fits, but there is no gap as I mentioned before. One response said I needed the TTORTUN4 with the four leaf spring, but it would fit the same way since they are virtually the same size. Could you clear this up for me, do I have the wrong part, and if so what part should I have? Thank you and look forward to your response.

The Timbren Rear Suspension Enhancement System part # TTORTUN4L is designed to work with the 3 leaf setup on a 2017 Toyota Tacoma, but not the 4 leaf setup. For a 4 leaf setup you would need to use the Timbren Rear Suspension Enhancement System part # TTORTUN4. The jounce spring kit designed to work with 4 leaf spring models has a shorter mounting brackets to allow for the recommended 1/2" - 1" of space between the bump stop and rear axle. Although both jounce springs are the same, you would need to replace the entire kit as the brackets are not available for purchase separately.

I have included a review and installation video of the correct kit for you.
