a few months ago I purchased an etrailer hitch 2inch receiver - #e98864 for my 2012 RAV4. Now I need to buy a wiring harness. I see a few that are verified to fit. What are the differences between the Curt #C56165 and the Tekonsha #118412 And which is recommended, and why?

We offer a few different brands that make trailer wiring harnesses for vehicles. Curt and Tekonsha are the two most popular brands. We have the best luck in terms of reliability with the Tekonsha kits so for your 2012 Toyota RAV4 I would recommend the Tekonsha kit part # 118412.
