How Does Threaded Hitch Pin of Swagman Bike Rack Secure Rack to Hitch Tube

Question:

i cannot tighten the locking pin into the hitch there are no threads to tighten it down, the bolt has threads but there is nothing in the hitch itself,

The threaded hitch pin of the Swagman bike rack part # S64683 does not thread to your hitch actually. What you do is insert the bike rack into the hitch, line up the hitch pin holes, and then thread the hitch pin to the bike rack. When you tighten the bolt up all the way it holds the rack to the side of the hitch tube which prevents the rack from moving in the hitch.
