Question:

I have a 2022 F-250 Super Duty with a 6-10 inch bed. Will I need a sliding hitch for a better turning radius and tight parking? The truck came with the 5th wheel package.

Without a sliding hitch, your trailer could easily make contact with your short bed Ford F-250 Super Duty when making sharp turns. With the fifth-wheel towing prep package from Ford, you have a factory rail kit, so you would only need to find a hitch.

I recommend checking out the Demco Autoslide # DM8550024 which has an automatic slide feature so you never have to get out of your F-250 to manually operate the slide. The Demco also has a wraparound jaw for 360 degree contact with the kingpin and a hitch head which pivots to make hook-up easier while also working to reduce chucking.
