Setting Up the Tekonsha P2 Brake Controller for the First Time
Updated 08/09/2017 | Published 08/08/2017 >
Question:
If I choose to use no boost setting, do I need to still calibrate the controller by pulling the manual switch all the way to the left and setting it at 6.0? Or can I just roll the wheel forward and begin to drive as normal and test the brakes that way? Thank you.

Setting the boost level on the P2 brake controller # 90885 should actually be the last thing you do after you have set up the controller according to the instructions. Basically it is like you said:
Set the controller with no boost to 6. Tow at about 25 miles an hour and fully engage the manual override but do not use the truck brake pedal. If the brakes lock up adjust the power down. If they don't lock up adjust the power up. The idea is to get to a level just under brake lock up.
