The Weld-On Exhaust Redirect, # MF35180, is designed to fit on a tailpipe that has a 3 inch outside diameter. You will need to measure the exhaust on your 2008 Ford Explorer and/or Taurus to determine what size the tailpipe is and if there is a long enough section exposed to install the tip.
