Question:
I have a 18 foot dove tail trailer that has tail lights that look a lot like the Optronics STL8RB, only mine have a bulb. All I want to do is replace those light bulb units with LED lights. Can this be done without rewiring the trailer?

Expert Reply:
The trailer taillight style of the part # STL8RB is very common. Probably the most common on the road today. If you wanted to swap out your lights to these that are LED it would be a very simple swap. All you'd need to do is wire up the new assemblies like your old ones and then bolt these in place.
For the matching driver side you would want the part # STL9RB.
