Will a Lippert Latch Handle Fit in Place of a Southco Brand Handle

Question:

This part LC227214 looks like those on my 2008 Damon Thor 3786 PE motorhome. The ones I have are SOUTHCO, at least that is what is on the key. I have one that is not functioning which leads me to believe that all will fail shortly. Are these available with lock key set R001? Are they SOUTHCO?

Lippert Components Slam Latch Baggage Door Handle was the Southco that has been discontinued. I recommend upgrading your locking handles to the Global Link RV Baggage Door Slam Latch with Keyed Alike Option - Black - 1-3/4" Thick # 295-000078. These locks when ordered together can be keyed alike so they will match and will be a unique key versus the generic key you currently have to better secure your cargo.
