Pin or Lock Recommendation for a Yoke Latch Coupler
Updated 07/25/2017 | Published 07/22/2017 >
Question:
Greetings- I have a coupler very similar to this one on my Rockwood Pop up camper. I had a spring clip pin that recently got lost and Id like to replace it. But is a pin even necessary? If yes, which one would you recommend? The 3/8inch diameter pins Ive seen elsewhere on the site are too big for the holes.

It sounds like you are talking about a latch pin which would go through the latch and prevent it from opening. It isn't a necessary part but usually what people do with the latch holes is use a latch lock. I recommend Master Lock Adjustable Trailer Coupler Lock - Stainless Steel Item # 2847DAT because it is adjustable to fit latches with different widths from 5/8 inch wide to 2 inch wide. The pin has a 1/4 inch diameter which is the most common latch hole size. I have linked a video review of this lock for you.
