Is Pivoting of Replacement Thule Lid Lifter Hinge Normal

Question:
I installed your replacement hinge on the front of my Thule Sonic XL635 and it looks fine. The rear hinge is attached to the box itself and seems to pivot at the top and bottom. Or is it loose?

I am not sure how much pivoting you are seeing or where exactly on the hinge this is happening, but keep in mind that your Thule Sonic XL 635, which was replaced by the Thule motion XT # TH629806, does feature dual-side access. Since you are able to open up the box from either side, unless it doesn't look secure, any pivoting of your hinge, like part # TH14936, is okay.
