Replacement Pin Box For Lippert 1621HD To Be Compatible With 2012 Ram 2500 Short Bed

Question:

I am looking for an extended length pin box to replace my current Lippert 1621HD box. The pin measures 18inch behind the nose of the trailer and doesnt allow enough clearance for turning on my 2012 Ram 2500 short bed. I need a box that will move the pin forward as much as possible to allow me to turn.

For your replacement pin box, I recommend the Sidewinder 5th Wheel King Pin # RP34FR. This will move the turning point back 22 inches.

With the Sidewinder pin box replacements, you will have more turning clearance than any sliding 5th wheel hitch can give, but your hitch will need to be locked in the towing position if you have a slider. If you decide at any point that you don't want that rotating turret, you can lock it out and use it like a standard hitch. With the clearance benefits of the turret, not many people choose to do that.
