Basically, 2.62 inches is the smallest wheel pilot hole for Trailer Idler Hub Assembly for 3,500-lb Axles - 5 on 5 Item # AKIHUB-550-35-K. The hub takes wheels as small as 14 inches and the smallest pilot hole diameter on a 14 inch wheel is 2.62 inches. The vast majority of 14 inch wheels will have a 3.19 or 3.27 inch pilot hole though.
