R152 Replacement Key for SportRack Frontier Rack

Question:

Hi, I have a sportrack frontier rack. It didnt come with a key when I bought it used. It says its R152. Any idea what key I need? Thanks

Thule and SportRack use the same locks and keys. Although the R-series locks and keys are not manufactured anymore, the N-series keys will fit in the R-series locks. This has been confirmed by Thule.

For your R152 lock you will need the Replacement Key for Thule and Sportrack Racks and Carriers # THKEYN152.

Hello,I bought an N152 key for my Sport rack with a key lock that says R152 but it does not fit.Any advice is appreciated.Thank you,Joe

The # THKEYN152 key should be the right one for your R152 lock core. Sometimes with these new keys it takes quite a bit of persuasion to get them to engage the first couple of times (which will improve). We have had success using a mallet to gently tap it into the core the first time to get it to engage. Let me know if this doesn't work and we can go from there.
