I recently purchased a Y02443 Rack from you. I would like to get this lock keyed the same as the key I got with the rack. Can you do this?

There is a way to key a Yakima HitchLock, part # Y07235, the same way as your Yakima Yakima Holdup 2 Bike Hitch Mounted Folding Rack, part # Y02443.

What you will need to do is find the lock number that should be stamped on the front of the lock cylinder on your # Y02433 and then type into our search box Y8771-A followed by the three numbers on your lock cylinder to get the matching lock core. For example, if you have a 148 cylinder you would want a Lock Core # Y8771-A148.

From there you will want to unlock the # Y07235 and then enter a Replacement Control Key for Yakima Same Key System, part # Y8007835, into the key slot and remove the core of the HitchLock.

Finally, you will insert the new lock cylinder that you purchased into the HitchLock and you will be able to unlock the HitchLock with the same key as the one that is on your bike rack.
