Question:
Was wondering about mounting this camera at the back of a trailer to see whats behind while traveling for more than five hours. But what do you need to do to wire it into a trailer light, for instance? Anything special needed?

Expert Reply:
The Swift Hitch Wi-Fi Camera for Smartphone or Tablet - Wireless - Night Vision - 5-Hour Battery # SH04 only has a 5 hour battery life. For a trip more than 5 hours, I recommend the Swift Hitch Wireless Hitch Alignment Camera and Monitor - Night Vision - 8-Hour Camera Battery # SH02DIGITAL.
For a powered without battery option with wireless connectivity to your monitor, I recommend the Rear View Safety Wireless Backup Camera System - Cigarette Lighter Adapter # RVS-091406. This camera mounts to the back of your trailer, offers 130 degree viewing as well as infrared and the power is spliced into your running/clearance lights. This will not limit your drive time or require recharging.
