Question:
Hi, I have a 2009 Porsche Cayenne. I can't seem to find a receptacle to allow for a bike hitch. Do you know if a bike hitch can be installed on my vehicle? Thanks

There is a confirmed fit for a trailer hitch on your 2009 Porsche Cayenne, so long as it does not have a rear-mounted spare tire. The Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver, # 13220, is a two-inch hitch with a class III rating, which will be more than adequate for the use of a bike rack. I have included a link to a video install of this hitch.
If you are looking for a bike rack to attach to your hitch, I recommend the Kuat NV 2.0 2-Bike Platform Rack, # NV22G. This is a platform-style rack which has a ratcheting hook that grasps your bike by the front wheel, and a sliding ratcheting strap that attaches around the rear wheel to avoid frame contact. Another feature of this rack is the lever which allows you to tilt the rack for access to rear cargo and fold the rack when you want to store it. If you are looking to transport four bikes, there is a Kuat NV 2.0 which can accomplish that, # NV22G-NA22G. I have linked video reviews to both the two- and four-bike racks.
Should your Cayenne have a rear-mounted spare tire, there are still a number of options for you, one of which is a trunk-mounted bike rack. For this, I recommend the Thule OutWay 2-Bike Rack, # TH45JV. It is a confirmed fit on all 2009 Porsche Cayenne models, and mounts easily to your vehicle. Additionally, the OutWay comes with adjustable dual arms in order to keep your bikes level as you transport them. I have attached a link to a video review of this product for you.
Another option for you is installing a roof rack as well as a roof-mounted bike rack. If your Cayenne has factory-installed tracks that run front to back, I recommend the Rhino-Rack Heavy-Duty Roof Rack, # RB1250B-2. In order to mount the two crossbars, you will need the Rhino-Rack Track Mount RLTP Legs, # RLTPMV, which is a mounting kit comes with four legs that allow you to mount the crossbars.
Should your Cayenne come have factory-installed side-raised rails that run front to back, I recommend the Rhino-Rack Vortex Stealth Roof Rack # JA7975, which has a flush, from-the-factory look.
The bike rack I recommend for your roof rack would be the Yakima HighRoad Roof Bike Rack, # Y02114. This rack carries one bike, securing the front tire with wheel hoops and the rear tire with a ratcheting strap. Please review the link to the video review I've attached for more detail about this rack.
