Question:
I have a 2008 chevrolet truck with a superglide hitch and universal rails on it. I dont like the universal brackets and wanted to install new mounting brackets. I was looking at the curt 16418 and the reese RP50064. I had also looked at the valley V-55093 but didnt like the one hole bracket. Im looking for strength. Which one would you recommend.

I would recommend going with the Reese Fifth Wheel Installation Kit, item # RP50064-58, for your 2008 Chevrolet Silverado 2500, because it is the best selling kit, and replacement parts are easily available if needed. We have instructions, see link, and an installation video that should be helpful when installing the kit on your truck, see link.
Both the Reese kit and the Curt Fifth Wheel Installation Kit, item # C16418-104, are designed for capacities exceeding the towing capacity of the trucks that they are designed for so strength will not be an issue.
We do not recommend mixing installation brackets and rails from different manufacturers because capacity issues could crop up from the parts not fitting together as designed.
