Question:
Can I plug my 30A Defender into a 50 amp service with an adapter?
asked by: Randy D
Helpful Expert Reply:
You cannot plug the Camco RV Power Defender Circuit Analyzer Dogbone - 125V - 30 Amp # CAM55312 into a 50 Amp service with an adapter like the Power Grip RV Power Cord Adapter w/ Handles - 125V - 30 Amp Female to 50 Amp Male # CAM55175. It will essentially trick the analyzer and it won't function properly. You need to plug the analyzer directly into the power source with the correct amps to get a proper reading.
