It sounds like you're looking for a trailer wiring harness for your 2017 Audi Q7.
If the Audi came with the factory tow package but doesn't have the connector you can use the Curt # C55774 which will provide you with a 4-way and 7-way connector. This harness plugs into the tow package wiring harness which will be under the rear of the vehicle.
If you don't have the tow package I recommend the ZCI Harness # 119250KIT. This installs by clamping to the Audi's existing wiring without splicing into it. Therefore there's no threat to the vehicle and it won't void any warranties with Audi. This gives you a 4-way connector.
If the trailer has a 7-way on it use the adapter # 37185 in conjunction with the ZCI 4-way. Just cap off the extra wires of the adapter. To power a trailer's brakes, if you have them, you'll need a brake controller. With your Audi I recommend using the Curt Echo # C51180. This installs in-line with the 7-way connectors of the trailer and Audi and is controlled by your smartphone. So again, there's no splicing into the vehicle's wiring. You will need to run a wire from the # 37185 to the positive side of the vehicle's battery to power the Echo. Use 10 gauge wire # 10-1-1, which is sold by the foot, with a 40 amp circuit breaker # 9510. Or instead you can use our kit # ETBC7L that includes everything with the 7-way adapter.
If you also need a trailer hitch receiver, I recommend the etrailer # e88KR. This s a 2 inch, Class III trailer hitch custom designed for your Q7.
