Question:
I am wanting to add a 7pin connector to my 2010 Ford F150 which currently only has a 4pin showing at the rear. I found the following item on your site, #118242 Ford Replacement OEM Tow Package Wiring Harness, 7-Way, which looks like exactly what I need, but I want to confirm that this will work for the 2010 models also. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you,

To convert the 4-Way flat trailer connector on the back of your 2010 Ford F-150, I would recommend using a 4 to 7-Way adapter, like our part # 37185. You will plug the factory 4-Way into the back of the adapter and hardwire the remaining 4 wires.
The white wire gets grounded to the vehicle frame. The blue wire gets connected to the electric brake controller output (blue wire on a brake controller). The black wire connects to the positive battery terminal with 10 gauge wire like # 10-1-1, via a 40 amp circuit breaker, # PK54540. And the last wire can be connected to the reverse light wire behind one of the tail lights. If the trailer does not have reverse lights or an electric reverse lock out, this wire can be taped up and stowed out of the way.
I am including a video of this adapter being installed on a Toyota Tundra. The vehicle is different but the wiring principle is the same.
The Tow Ready Ford Replacement OEM Tow Package Wiring Harness, 7-Way, part # 118242, will not work on a 2010 Ford F-150. It will only fit up to 2004 model year trucks.
