Question:
Hi. I recently purchased a trailer tow package that did not work with my 2014 Jeep Cherokee. It plugged into the hitch but lights did not work. Im interested in: Submersible, Under 80inch LED Trailer Light Kit with 25foot Wiring Harness Item # TLL9RK Can you tell me if this will work with a 2014 Jeep Cherokee that has a factory installed tow package? Thank you,

Helpful Expert Reply:
The Optronics Submersible LED Trailer Light Kit, # TLL9RK, will work with any vehicle that has the 4-flat pole trailer connector installed. The kit includes a 25 ft. wiring harness and stainless steel hardware.
Since the last kit that you tried to install did not work, I recommend testing the trailer connector on your vehicle. Using a circuit tester like # PTW2993, check each of the post in your trailer connector to make sure that your are receiving the correct electrical signal through the plug. I have attached a video for you to review that will demonstrate how to perform this test on your vehicle's trailer connection.
