Question:
Im looking to replace a 2 inch outside diameter male pipe jack mount for my 12,000 pound equipment trailer, and Im wondering if my bulldog 170 series jack can use either the 2 inch OD BD015279 or the 2.5 ID BD005024 I do have a 5/8 inch diameter pin and the mounting tube on the jack is 2 inch ID and 2.5 OD it looks to me either would work and the larger would be stronger... but I might be missing something? Thanks

I went out into our warehouse and pulled a Bulldog Round, Pipe-Mount Swivel Jack, part # BD178203, that has the same 2 inch inner diameter and 2.5 inch outer diameter pipe mount swivel jack as yours.
I then test fit a Bulldog 2-1/2 inch Long, Weld-On Jack Pipe Mount for 2-1/2 inch, part # BD005024, and a Bulldog 2-1/4 inch Long, Weld-On Jack Pipe Mount for 2-1/2 inch, part # BD015279.
I found that either will work dimensionally, the # BD015279 will fit on the inside and the # BD005024 will fit well on the outside. (see pictures to the right)
Both of these weld-on jack pipe mounts are very strong and would do well for your application. However, I do believe that the bigger # BD005024 would be stronger due to the larger surface that would be welded to your trailer.
The only issue I found with the # BD005024 was that the pin was slightly too short to go through the hole far enough for the pin to clip into place. (see second picture to the right)
You would also need a Replacement 5/8 inch Pull Pin for Bulldog, part # BD500232, to safely use the # BD005024.
