Question:

I am towing a 2009 Dutchman Northshore RL28 with a 2017 ram 2500. After lowering the 5th wheel plate in the truck to it`s lowest setting and raising the pin box as high as possible, the trailer is still nose high by about 5 inches. Any idea on how to get it level and if nothing is done will I ruin my tires and suspension?

5 inches out of level with a fifth wheel trailer is too much for it to be safe. Are the axles mounted below the leaf springs? If so, you can move to be above springs and that will help get the trailer more level since it seems to be very tall.

The diameter of your trailer axle will determine the size of the parts that you will need to order. If your axle is 3 inches diameter, the Dexter Trailer Springs Over-Under Conversion Kit, # K71-385-00, would be a great choice and if your axle is 2-3/8 inch diameter you could use the Over-Under Kit, # K71-384-00. These kits can be installed without welding but the manufacturer strongly recommends having the new spring seat tacked in place on the other side of the trailer axle.
