Can Gray Optronics Thin Line Bracket # A66PB Ground with 2 Wire Trailer
Published 04/05/2017 >
Question:
How does this single-wire design work? What type of surface does it need to be mounted to to be grounded? I have an enclosed trailer with exterior metal sheeting. The current wiring is 2-wire. Will this single-wire design work with my application? Thank You!

Expert Reply:
The Gray Bracket # A66PB is designed to ground through it's hardware. If the metal on your trailer where you will mount this touches the trailer frame it would be fine to just run the power to the single wire of the bracket.
Otherwise you can run your ground wire to the mounting stud of the bracket that has the gold colored strap ran to it on the side the light attaches to and you would be good that way as well.
