Question:
towing a 27 foot airstream with appoximately 1240lbs tongue weight. I tow with a 2006 silverado Lt 2500hd 4x4 lbz duramax crew cab. What would you advice be in a wd hitch as far as trunnion vs round bar?

Expert Reply:
I prefer trunnion over round bar as the trunnion kits have better ground clearance and typically higher capacities. The round bars are typically a great economic solution but the trunnion is the better overall way to go.
I would recommend the Trunnion Straitline part # RP66130 as it has a tongue weight range of 800 - 1,500 lbs and features only sway control designed to fight sway before it starts. For a shank you will need the part # RP54970 and then for a hitch ball part # C40030 which is a 2-5/16 inch ball.
