my 1988 chev truck has signal and brake wire combined i want to make brake and signal seperate will that converter work for me

The Tail Light Converter # 118158 will convert the combined 2-wire system of your 1988 Chevrolet Truck to work with 3-wire separate wiring on a trailer. This only works for incandescent lights.
