Question:
Is the 10,000lb the rating of each cable or for the pair? Is the rating for What they are rated to Tow? Working Load? or Breaking Strength? What is the diameter of the Quick Links? How far open will they go? What spring loaded Clevis Hook can be used with these cables?

On the Blue Ox 3 Foot Safety Cables - 10,000 lbs - Qty 2 # BX88208, I reached out to my contact at the manufacturer and the 10,000 lb rating is for each cable. This is not rated on what they are able to tow. They don't have a rating for working load because these cables are only intended for use in the emergency situation. They couldn't give me a break strength rating.
I went out to our warehouse and measured the Quick Links for you. They are 1/2 inch in diameter and have an opening of 11/16 of an inch. The inside measurements are 3-1/2 inches long by 1 inch wide. At the thinnest part they are 9/16 inch wide.
The manufacturer said that you technically can use clevis hooks that are rated high enough, but that will void any warranty on this product.
