Question:

will it fit 2004 jeep wrangler SE. do I need the BX7380 tow bar for this base plate.

The Blue Ox Base Plate Kit # BX1118 fits the 2004 Jeep Wrangler with a u-channel type front bumper. Since there are many oem/aftermarket bumper options for Jeeps the base plate makers like Blue Ox and Roadmaster produce many kits to ensure compatibility with the different configurations that are out on the road.

With this base plate kit installed you can use any of several Blue Ox tow bars including their Acclaim, Adventurer, Aladdin, Allure, Alpha, Avail, Aventa LX, and Trion tow bars. For example, the Alpha is part # BX7380, and this tow bar works great with these base plates and it includes the required safety cables.
