Can Stromberg Carlson Rail Mate Folding Handrail for RV Steps be Mounted on the Left or Right Side

Does the Rail Mate mount on the right side of the steps?

If the door hinges are on the left side (looking at the door from the outside) then you could install Stromberg Carlson Rail Mate Folding Handrail # AP-101 on the right side of the steps. If the hinges are on the right side of the door I suppose you could still install it on the right side of the steps but I would think that the door would not be able to open all the way.
