Question:

After a career in the aftermarket I thought I was street savvy but Ive purchased and read the instructions for the K71-385-00 Overslung/underslung kit... For the life of me I cant visualize the assembly of these parts.... I looked at yours and Dexters Web site... Can see a photo of this installed... I dont understand the long adjusting nuts... do you have a photo of this kit installed so I get a better idea... ALSO Im using Mozilla Firefox and when I put K71-385-00 into your search engine... I get a reply of no item/part number found... yet if I look this up the long way... it turns up just fine... is this my browser or your search engine thats at fault... you actually have several variations of the kit listed but none like to the kit.. Thanks...

I have attached a drawing that shows how the over/under kit # K71-385-00 is installed. As you can see, the U-bolts are placed on either side of the spring seats you have on your axle. In the instructions it states the new spring seat should be tack welded to the axle. It would be better if you had a professional do a complete weld of the springs seat.

The long nuts are in the kit are adjustment nuts and used like you can see in the attached photo. You can place them between the old spring seat and the new one and tighten the U-bolt down so the kit does not twist and stays level when installed. The # K71-385-00 is for 3-inch axles and part # K71-384-00 is for 2-3/8 inch axles.

As far as the website and search engine, I cannot say why you are having trouble when searching our site.
