How to Determine Hitch Height for Companion Hitch for Ford Rail Kit in 2016 Ford F-350

Question:

Looking to get the BandW Companion for my 2016 F-350. How do I find out what height I need to set it? I dont get my new trailer until first week of march. So I wanna have this ready for then.

For your 2016 Ford F-350 with the factory rail kit the B&W Companion Hitch part # BWRVK3300 would be the correct fitting hitch and would be an excellent option as many view the Companion hitches as the nicest hitches around.

Unless you can get the dealer to give you the distance from the pin box platform down to the ground on the trailer you would have to wait till the trailer shows up to determine what height setting you would need to use with the hitch.

The other measurement needed is the distance from the truck bed down to the ground. The difference between the two dimensions is the height needed for the hitch.
