Question:

I have a 2016 F250 short bed with the factory 5th wheel prep kit. puck system. My question is after watching your video on the BandW 3300 hitch, is there enough room for the pin release handle to fully open with out hitting the forward truck bed. ? If not, is there another hitch that i could purchase that would work.? Thanks.

The B&W Companion OEM 5th-Wheel Hitch for Ford Super Duty Prep Package # BWRVK3300 is a fit for long-bed F-250s but not for your short bed. Your 6-3/4-foot bed will require a sliding 5th wheel hitch that will provide the additional turning clearance required by your short bed.

An excellent choice for your truck is the 20K-rated Curt Q20 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch # C16530-16020. This setup features dual jaws for solid king pin contact (less chucking) and a cushioned 360-degree-pivoting head for reduced jarring and easier hitching on uneven ground. It gives you 12-inches of slider travel for extending your low-speed turning capability. A 16K version is also offered, part # C16520-16020. There is enough space for operating the release handles.

For a wiring harness you can use part # C56000 which is a simple plug-in installation.
