Question:

What is the diameter of the bead on the awning where it attaches to the awning rail? According to RV sites the I.D. can be either 6 or 8 mm.

I reached out to my contact at Solera and the awning bead of the Solera 9' Slider (Slide-Topper) in White w/ White Hardware # LCV000163290 is 0.25 inch (6mm) for the bead that attaches to the rail on the coach and 0.188 inch (or 4.7mm) for the bead that attaches to the round rail. The beads are color coded to help with assembly, one gray and one black.

This kit comes with all the pieces to work seamlessly together, however they said it is industry standard size and may fit your current rails if that is what you are looking for. They also said their rail is 0.354 inch at the round portion and the slot leading to that is 0.177 inch where the vinyl comes out.
