Question:
What angles could this reflector be mounted at that would still fulfill the requirements for a trailer side reflex reflector? Can the reflector be installed at a 45-degree angle?

The Amber Rectangular Microprismatic Reflector # B489A can be mounted to anything that will accept its adhesive. I've attached an article outlining the requirements for trailer lighting and reflectors. There are not limits that I'm aware of on the angle of the reflector. You will need to contact your local Department of Motor Vehicles to see if there are State specific requirements.
