Question:
The Curt Multi Use Ball Mount Can the top receiver be used to mount a winch, so I can pull a car onto my trailer?

You can use the top receiver on the Curt Multipurpose Ball Mount # D210 to mount a winch. You will need a Trailer Hitch Electric Winch Mount Plate like the Curt # C31010. I also recommend adding the Curt Handles, part # C31005, which will make transportation much easier and protects the winch.
Keep in mind that depending on the winch you have and your trailer's coupler, space might be limited after the winch is mounted. The plate is 8-1/4 inches wide and from the back of the plate to the nearest hitch pin hole, it is 4-1/4 inches. So at minimum, the Winch Mount Plate will sit out about 12-1/2 inches from your trailer hitch.
I have provided a helpful picture with these measurements listed.
I have also included a link to the trailer winch selection page on our website for your review.
