No, the Hidden Hitch HH87639 is not compatible with your 2006 Infinity FX35. I do however, have a hitch that is compatible with your vehicle. It is the 2006 Infiniti FX35 Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver Class III - 2 inch # 13558. I've attached an installation video of this hitch on the same year/make/model for you.

If you will be using this trailer hitch receiver to tow a trailer, you will also need a ball mount and wiring. For your wiring needs, I recommend the ZCI Circuit Protected Vehicle Wiring Harness w/ 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector and Installation Kit # 119250KIT. This kit allows you to add a 4-way connector without splicing, cutting, or plugging into your factory wiring. The Zero-Contact Interface sensors give you the signal in the wires without needing to put the wires physically in line.

For a ball mount, I recommend the B&W Tow & Stow 2-Ball Mount - 2" Hitch - 5" Drop, 5-1/2" Rise - 10K - Black # BWTS10037B. This will give you adjustability to tow your trailer level and gives you two hitch ball options. This hitch also gives you a stowing feature where you can lock the ball and adjuster in place on the backside of the hitch to protect your shins when it is not in use and gives it a clean look. I recommend using a hitch lock like # e98882 to secure your investment.

If you will be towing a trailer with trailer brakes, you will also need the # ETBC7 kit along with a brake controller like # 90195. If you need further recommendations, let me know.
