Question:

what are your suggest for a bike rack to fit this car. Im leasing this car so at the present I do not to invest in a trailer hitch.

I did some checking and there are some trunk mount bike racks that you can use on your leased 2017 Subaru Impreza 5-door hatchback. For a 2-bike rack you can use either the Yakima FullBack # Y02634. For 3 bikes the the FullBack model is # Y02633.

These racks will work even if the vehicle has a rear spoiler at the top of the hatch because the rack is positioned in such a way as to not put any stress on the spoiler. I included a picture showing this courtesy of Yakima. I have also linked a couple of videos on a couple of the models.

If you will be carrying any bikes that do not have a top frame bar that goes straight across (like a typical men's bike would) then I recommend using bike adapter bar # 64005. This will allow you to carry those bikes more level and will provide better ground clearance. I have linked a video showing how the adapter works.
