Will Black MaxxAir II RV Roof Vent Block Light Better Than the Smoke Vent

Does the black units take most of the sunlight away? Im trying to darken the main bedroom. I installed 2 smoke max air 2s over the vents in the main bedroom and didnt see much of a difference.

The Black MaxxAir II RV and Enclosed Trailer Roof Vent Cover # MA86JR is a solid black. I went out to our warehouse with a flashlight to see how much light would pass through. Other than the vented part no light came through at all. Now, my flashlight isn't quite as bright as the sun but I'm confident it will block considerably more light than the Smoke, # MA00-955003
