Rear Trailer Camera Needed for 2018 Ford F-150 with OEM Tow Package and Pro Trailer Assist Monitor

Question:

We just purchased a 2018 F150 with the “towing package” and “Pro Trailer Assist” comes a nice 8” LCD screen and camera on the tail gate. But I am looking for an additional camera to view the back of my RV, not only when backing up, but also to be able to see behind the RV while driving. Is there such a piece of equipment? Thank you.

I do have some options for you but unfortunately there are no observation cameras that you can mount to your trailer that are compatible with the factory monitor on your 2018 Ford F-150.

Your other option include replacing your rear view mirror with the kit # RVS-770718 and adding the trailer tow quick connect kit # RVS-213-613 or using a completely different monitor with the kit # RVS-770613-213 which comes with the quick connect kit.

The advantage of using the replacement mirror option is that you don't have to find room for an additional monitor while the advantage of the monitor system is the potential to connect up to 3 cameras and it will be easier to view them.
