Best Fifth Wheel Hitch Recommendation for 2017 Ram 3500 with Factory Rail Kit

Question:

I just bought a 2017 Ram 3500 dually, 8ft bed with a 5th wheel factory prep package. Im in a dilemma between BandW or Curt brand. Im really a BandW fan, I had owed a BandW 3600 series model. and it tows smooth and with little or on noise. I had measured my RV level height, it is at 13= pin box height 53- truck bed height 40 with a 5 1/2inch bed to RV clearance. The BandW hitch looks and feels well made and weighs more. The specs for the BandW RVK3400 height adjustment range is 17-19inch and Curt model#16049 Q25 is 13- 17. My concern and question is, would it be a problem to tow my RV a few inches higher with the BandW hitch vs. Curt hitch towing level? Need your expert advice before I commit to purchasing a 25K, 5th wheel hitch.

The B and W part # BWRVK3600 will be your best option. Companion hitches are basically the nicest hitches available as you know so I would not recommend a Curt over it.

Realistically your rear suspension will sag slightly to allow the trailer to tow level, but in case it won't you can also raise or lower the pin box on the trailer frame to make height adjustments that way too.
