I have a cherokee xj with 31 10.50 15s and was thinking about a set of Pl 1146s. Mostly for ice and deep snow. Would this be a good choice and what metric size would I need?

For ice and deep snow you would want the off-road V-bar chains part # TC3827 for your tire size of 31-10.50- 15.
These chains have thick links for snow traction and V-bars to break up the ice so they provide excellent traction and would be a great choice for you.
