Question:

Ive got a 19 foot bass boat skeeter 190 with a 225 Yamaha outboard and my previous strap was chewed up by my current winch so I purchased the heavy duty strap from you guys. Unfortunately, the strap is 25 feet and the winch is set up for a 20 foot strap. Im wondering if this would work or should I do something with a different strap?

With a winch rated for 20 feet, a 25 foot strap may cause an issue. You may want to get a 20 foot strap like the BoatBuckle Boat Winch Strap with Hook and Safety Latch - Loop End - 2" x 20' - 4,000 lbs, # IMF05848.

Because your winch chewed up your previous strap, it makes me think a better option may be to replace the winch and keep the 25 foot strap as something may be mechanically wrong with the winch. For that application, I recommend the Dutton-Lainson Brake Winch with TUFFPLATE Finish, Self-Locking - 1,200 lbs., # DL14934, you mentioned that will work fine as a boat winch.
