The Curt # C11463 has been confirmed to fit the new 2017 Honda Civic, both the coupe and hatchback. This is a Class I hitch receiver rated for 200 pounds max tongue weight and 2,000 pounds max towing weight. Also, according to Curt's warranty, a support strap, like part # 18050, must be used to secure any non-trailer loads like a bike rack or cargo carrier.
If you plan to tow a trailer with your Civic the wiring harness for the hatchback is part # C59236. This is a universal harness but will give you a 4-way trailer connector to power the trailer's lights.
For a ball mount, the Curt # C45521 will give you a rise of 2-5/8 inches or a drop of 3-1/4 inches. Then for a 2 inch hitch ball use # A-82 and for a 1-7/8 inch ball use # A-80. Finally, for a pin and clip you can use # F-4.
