I was wondering I have a 50 amp fifth wheel and Im looking at getting your Defender series protector. wondering could you run the adapter in line to a 30 amp shore receptacle if thats all a camping site offers and still give coverage to your camper or does it have to go to a 50 amp Shoreline power outlet

Yes, you can run the Camco RV Power Defender Voltage Monitor - 50 Amp, # CAM55306 in line to a 30 amp shore recepticle. It will provide you with the protection from power surges and excessive voltage. It has a diagnostic center that's going to be able to visually alert you of any faults that you may have with the unit or with the electrical connections. It's also going to feature a reconnect delay and that's in place to protect sensitive equipment such as an air conditioner unit. You will need an adapter like the Power Grip RV Power Maximizer - 50 Amp Female to 15 Amp Male and 30 Amp Male, # CAM55025, to convert the power to your 5th wheel when using a 30 amp shore recepticle.
