Question:

I just purchased from your Co. the IMF14256 stainless steel Transom Tie Downs. They will be installed on my Bass Tracker trailstar boat trailer. The Bass Tracker boat is a Pro Team 175 TX 2006. It has a 2017 mercury 75 hp 4 stroke along with a Minn Kota Talon. Will these Tie downs be adequate? I know Im doing this backwards but I did not know you had this site. Im not sure what the weight is of the boat maybe 1300 lbs. no idea regarding the trailer.

Transom tie downs # IMF14256 have a break strength of 1,500 pounds and working load limit of 500 pounds. What this means is that it can have up to 500 pounds on it constantly and be fine. It is not really supporting the whole boat weight and you are likely using other tie downs, a winch cable, and so on so the transom tie downs will be adequate. If you are not using additional tie downs I do recommend it; such as # IMF14220.
