Question:

I am getting a new Bolt EV electric 2017 and was wondering if there is a trailer hitch for it to carry bikes. Thanks.

There is a trailer hitch available for the 2017 Chevy Bolt EV. It is Curt hitch # C11457. This is a Class I trailer hitch with a 1-1/4 inch receiver so you will need a compatible bike rack. The NEO2, # B01748, is an excellent choice because it is so light weight at just 15 pounds, and holds the bikes by the wheels so it is compatible with many bike styles.

Please note that Curt requires the use of stabilization strap # 18050 when using this hitch with a bike rack or cargo carrier per their warranty requirements. The strap can be attach to one of the bike rack's upright arms and then to the vehicle to reduce the stress on the hitch.
