When do Trailer Tires Usually Wear Out
Published 11/10/2016 >
Question:
Quite a few trailer tires that Ive seen dont wear out, they get old and crack and soon have broken belts or fly apart. If I only use them once a month, how long can I expect them to last before the cracks start? .... realistic, Im not going to cover them every time I park it.

You are correct in that most trailer tires don't wear out and will fail from age related issues before going bald.
Trailer tires should be replaced about every 6 or 7 years, even if the tread is still in good shape. You can check the age of a tire by looking at the age code on the tire.
The DOT date code on a tire is 4 numbers. The first 2 are the week and the last 2 are the year. So for example if it was 2314 that means that tire was made in the 23rd week of 2014.
