Recommended Replacement Coupler For Gooseneck With A 4-1/2 Inch Square Tube

Question:

I have a 4 1/2 square tube gooseneck that needs the coupler replaced. Do you have one wide and long enough to weld to the 4 1/2 square tube? 2 5/16 ball

If you need to only replace the coupler, I'd recommend the Gooseneck Coupler Head Kit, # GC-HEAD, for etrailer or Ram replacement couplers or the Bulldog Gooseneck Coupler Repair Kit, # BD0287740300, for Bulldog couplers.

To replace your gooseneck coupler inner assembly for your 4-1/2 inch square tube, I would recommend the Bulldog BX1 Gooseneck Coupler Inner Tube - Square - 2-5/16" Ball - 25,000 lbs, # BD1289210300, which is 22-1/2 inches long. Another coupler I'd recommend that is a little longer at 30-3/4 inches long is the Square Tube Gooseneck Coupler, Inner Tube Only - 25K, # BD0288660300. These couplers have a 4 inch outer dimension and fit within the 4-1/2 inch square outer tube.
